I was super excited to be able to hear about this brand new company that only launched this month! MAIX is a makeup artist owned and operated brand that seeks to create products that meet the needs of professionals, while still being accessible to enthusiasts and the every day person. I have always wanted to keep my 6 star ratings "special" but this month it has been HARD, and I know a lot of you are loosing luster for the 6 star moments, because there have been a lot this month. BUT this month is "small business month" and a lot of small brands start up to fill a void in the market. They do things differently and better most of the time. So with all of these insanely awesome brands to explore, I feel I have fallen in love with a new regimen of products! Regardless, I hope you can trust my 6 stars for what they are still, next month you'll likely see less of them.

Now back to this specific review,  I love the packaging. It is sleek, pretty, sturdy, high end and functional. It has a mirror in the compact, and features a sleek black container with Matte black textured print. For wear, it does last a long time before needing reapplication. It's not an insanely long time, but it does last. I need to reapply it every four hours or so.

This has the perfect sheen to it, which is why it got a 6 in the highlight section. I had no idea that there was a "perfect sheen" until I tried this. When you put it on it isn't glitter, and you don't get a whisper of product. It's there. But it's not clunky, blinding or streaky. But if you want blinding you can build it up for sure. This gives it good longevity as well because one swipe is all you need. This product has a silky smooth and creamy texture. It's not powdery or crumbly which I love.
