Some people speculated that Becca (another cosmetics line Jaclyn Hill worked with) may have sent a cease and desist to Morphe because the artwork for the palette looked a lot like their palettes for their collaboration with Jaclyn Hill as well, they thought the lies about pigmentation and quality was a cover up. Turns out the opposite happened! Even though the Morphe palette came out WAY after the Becca one did, Morphe got their artwork trademarked and sued Becca! SUPER SHADY.
Watch the video if you want to know more about this.
I don't like Morphe as a brand because they aren't consistent, and because they aren't authentic. Their brushes are private label crown brush products, and their palettes are okay, but not professional quality. They try to make it sound like pros love and use their stuff, we don't. It's a decent brand if you can't invest, but frankly, skip the price tag and drama, and go with Crown Brush, who makes their products and are identical in performance for almost half the price.
